PRESENTACIÓN
A pesar del aumento de las investigaciones sobre la historia literaria del mundo islámico, nuestro conocimiento acerca de lo que fue leído en diferentes períodos y regiones es todavía insuficiente. Este encuentro internacional pretende llenar este vacío historiográfico. Se abordará la cuestión de la difusión de los libros, los procesos de supervivencia, selección y transmisión de los mismos, así como los mecanismos para incluir los libros en los currículum educativos. En líneas generales, se dará prioridad a un enfoque comparativo, de tal modo que se analizarán las diferencias y las coincidencias entre los distintos períodos y regiones. Asimismo, el ciclo de conferencias pretende aportar una renovación metodológica en este campo de estudio.
